Miami - day 2

Started reeeeaaaaalllly early in the morning today…. The registration for the orientation was supposed to start at 8, so had to wake up at 6.45 to be ready in time. The orientation itself was pretty boring… lectures abt life in amerrica…. Culture academics etc. the interesting part was getting money!!!! They gave us a small amnt as a living allowance while we are here. The second interesting thing was talking to all the different ppl. I met ppl from turkey, spain, morocco, germany, brazil, Lithuania, astonia ( I didn’t even know that such a country existed!) sri lanka, India, zambia, south Africa (a white south African!), argentenia, new Zealand, Austria, japan, Vietnam, iraq and im sure a few more that im missing.

After the orientation (which ended at 5….. very long and tiring) the best part of the day started in the evening around 630 when we went for a boat cruise around the bay. That was amazing…. saw a lot of the coast (very beautiful!) and a bunch of celebrity houses on the various islands! (including Harrison fords, Mariah careys and Jennifer lopezs homes). Took a million pics! And of course talking to more people! There are a total of 93 people attending this orientation from all those different countries! Then after the cruise (which lasted for about 2 hours) had dinner and then back to the hotel.

Tomorrow we get a tour of the city and a visit to the beach!
